Reversomatic HRV/ERVs

user-6504396 | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

Does anyone have any experience with Reversomatic HRV’s or ERV’s?  They claim to have the only automatic balancing units which will maintain a neutral pressure as conditions change.  They have published sound data that ranges from 1.4 to 2.2 sones at 30L/S at 50Pa.  (32-39dB).  Their sensible recovery efficiencies are in the low 70’s and apparent sensible effectiveness in the 80’s.

Don't know about these particular units. But I have a couple RERV-80's. They are their most basic erv units. I like them because they're the smallest ERV's I could find (other than through wall units), and on their circuit board they have rheostats so you can manually balance the fans. They work and are pretty quiet.

    Jamie,

    Thanks for the reply.
It looks like the auto-balancing is available on the deluxe units

This one looks to be the best performing from a energy transfer standpoint.

I guess though that the unit would only be capable of balancing to a certain, limited point. For instance if it's maximum flow rate is 100 cfm then it couldn't compensate for a 400 cfm range exhaust fan or even a 100 cfm bathroom fan.
