Ridge vent vs. attic fan

Joe Blanco | Posted in General Questions on

Is there any advantage in using an attic fan comparing to ridge vents? My house is in zone 6 and highs are usually in the 80s during summer (only had three 90+ days last year). The house currently has ridge vents, and I am wondering if installing a solar powered fan can bring any real benefit or not.

    Joe,
Skip the fan. Here is a link to an article with more information on the topic: Fans in the Attic: Do They Help or Do They Hurt?
