Roof decking material for open eaves?

Would ACX plywood with the bottom painted be the most appropriate material to use for roof decking in the areas of open eaves? Any other materials that I should consider for longevity?

Open eaves as in exposed framing? For that, I usually add separate rafter tail extension, held down 3/4" from the main rafters, fasten boards (usually T+G) over them, and then run the roof sheathing over everything. CDX is not the worst thing to look up at, but I think boards look better.
+1 to this suggestion, Michael.
If not using tongue-and-groove, ie if it's just boards butted together as is often done out my way with reclaimed material, I'll run a layer of black weed mat above the boards to that when they move over time, any gaps will jus appear as black shadow lines rather than showing the underside of the roof decking.
Yes, exposed framing and your suggestion sounds like it will be beautiful. Thx!
Why ACX? I think CDX would be fine here, and would be a lot cheaper!
There's certainly nicer options, though.
