I have a 20×24 detached garage being built, sheathing is on, how should I properly flash the base? My plan is to use a butyl rubber tape at the bottom and accoustic sealant on the inside at plate to slab. Since siding will be too low to the ground I plan on using 6″pvc board as a starter strip before I begin the vinyl siding, how and where should I use flashing or drip edge, should it below the pvc or above pvc and below 1st run of siding or both? I will be using tyvek vapor barrier.
