Smell from damp proofing

Jetblackae_nightmare | Posted in GBA Pro Help on

We live in a detached home. Our neighbours damp proofed one side of our foundational wall with Jet Black AE, replaced our dimple wrap, and replaced our broken weeping tile. This was done in the middle of winter and since then, has been backfilled with soil.

It has been 2 months since this was done and our home still smells of asphaltic fumes. Any idea why?

we have tried sealing our sump pump, running air filters with carbon, and ventilation without success.
