I want to cut a opening for a staircase in my second story floor connecting the two floors. My problem is I have a balloon framed home. And the opening is up against one outside wall. My question is, how to resecure that outside wall after, I cut the floor joist that are structurally connecting/ locking the wall to the house?. And is the code involved also? Thanks
