Tankless water heater- PFAS, BPA, etc

mugatu300 | Posted in General Questions on

Hello all, interested in the Navien NPE-240A2. Tried contacting them to no avail. It looks like there are a lot of plastic components on the inside of the unit. Does anyone know if any of these come into contact with water and if they contain: PFAS, PVC, Phthalates, BPA, or microban style antimicrobials? Thank you.

If so, would a tank style water heater be considered less plasticky or “toxic”? I know tank heaters have a plastic dip tube but not sure which is considered worse…
