Terminating Air Barrier

will4 | Posted in General Questions on

Where would be the optimal location to terminate the air barrier on the gable end of a house with a vented attic. Blown in insulation over attic floor.
Using an exterior air barrier such as mento 1000, does it need to be run to the roof? Could it be taped and terminated to the plywood sheathing slightly above where the loose fill rests seeing that the attic space above the insulation is open vented air.

The wall air barrier should terminate at and be tied into the ceiling air barrier.
