It seems as if I’ve seen this question pop up several times over the last couple years. If someone was building a cabin on top of an open pier and beam system (unrestricted airflow underneath), and you were to use a vapor barrier underneath hardwood flooring, what would be the best product for insulating joist cavities, and a sheet product for closing off the underside, without inadvertently creating a second vapor barrier?
