What fixed, glazed windows are best for me?

James Anderson | Posted in General Questions on

1. I want to convert a screened porch on the southwest corner of the house to a sitting area with a wood stove for heating.

2. The window space opening to the south is 10 feet X 8 feet.
The window space opening to the west is 13 feet X 9 feet.
Trees that lose their leaves in winter shade both sides.

3. My strong #1 priority is clear visibility to the outside.
While I want to prevent both cold and heat penetration from the outside, gaining heat from the sun is my lowest priority. The wood stove will provide plenty of heat.

4. My home is at 3000 feet elevation in the mountains of western NC.

5. Without compromising quality, which provider would give the lowest price?
