What if ridge vent is blocked during winter?

potton | Posted in General Questions on

With a single slope 2:12  vented cathedral sloped flat roof, covered with metal roofing equipped with continuous ridge vent (and soffit vent on low end), should we worry if the ridge vent is covered with thick snow during weeks… or months?

(The roof in zone 6, has 30” high raised heel trusses, with R60 cellulose.  The high wall with the ridge vent is facing dominant winds.)
