Where can I find a national average for general contractor prices on misc. jobs — e.g., roofing, framing, flooring, and plumbing?
I need a price list for a range of general contractor jobs… such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating….etc. Is there a website that shows a national average for prices to be paid to general contractors?

Two of the best-known compilers of the data you are looking for are R.S. Means and HomeTech.
The R.S. Means Building Construction Cost Data 2013 Book costs $187.
The HomeTech Remodeling and Renovation Cost Estimator book costs $119.

There are many websites which are present on bing. You can refer them and also there are some websites which provide online consultation and you can discuss your questions or queries…
you can google it simple!!! but what i suggest you is fix meetings with contractors and talk to them face to face they will give you exact expense amount. after a discussion you can choose one of them wisely.
