Window trim detail

kevinjm4 | Posted in General Questions on

If you post a ‘comment’ rather than a ‘reply’ will it be seen by editors, etc? I posted a  comment  in the ‘vinyl flanged window into wood siding’ article and not sure if it will be seen readily.

my question was – has anyone ever done or seen two levels
of z flash done.. one on top of window, one on top of header trim. Good idea?  I saw CI construction instruction do it like this once..

    Kevin,

    I replied.

It is a weakness in this new website though. You can't look back through recent article comments.

    Kevin,
    Q. "If you post a ‘comment’ rather than a ‘reply’ will it be seen by editors, etc?"

    A. Yes.

    Q. "I posted a comment in the ‘vinyl flanged window into wood siding’ article and I'm not sure if it will be seen readily."

    A. Your comment was published, as was Malcolm Taylor's reply. Here is the link to your exchange: "Flanged Window Replacement in a House with Wood Siding."

    HI Kevin -

I think your question needs the support of a link to the CI web reference and/or a drawing to get good advice.
