Neal Ezell is a third-generation residential contractor. He worked in the construction industry prior to attending the University of Kansas where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics. Neal was hired by the Rockwell Shuttle Operations Company in Houston where he worked on the space shuttle program. He returned to Lawrence, Kansas in 1991 and joined his brother in Ezell-Morgan Construction. They build cost-effective homes that consistently rate in the low 50s on the HERS scale. Neal served four years on the Building Code Board of Appeals for the city of Lawrence and on the Energy Efficiency Building Codes Working Group for the Kansas Corporation Commission. He teaches continuing education classes on building codes for the greater Kansas City area.
