Liquid Air Barrier Beneath Rigid Foam

Applying Liquid Air Barrier on Concrete Basement Wall Beneath XPS Foam

Hello!

I am just about to start insulating my basement – the walls are half concrete and then transition to standard 2×6 structure (being above ground).  My current plan is to air-seal & vapor-retard with the Intello Plus on the wood framed portion with 2″ XPS foam on the concrete (tape these together then).  However, I ran across the Visconn liquid air barrier, and saw a recommendation to apply that to the inside of the concrete before applying the XPS foam (and then connect that to the Intello Plus fabric).  These two paths are shown in the attached images.

Does anybody here have experience with either path? Does adding the Visconn below the XPS help, or add a risk, etc…?

(Note that I am in climate zone 4C – marine)
