Gutex

I’m curious about Gutex as an alternative to foam to wrap around the plywood sheathing to address thermal bridging.

What is the opinion here about it? Anyone know how it compares cost wise?

I know I can get it from 475 builders.

I priced it awhile ago and it seemed to be similar in price to rockwool comfortboard. It looks like an excellent product but I worried about insects enjoying it--we have different critters in the US than in Europe. I could be wrong about this.

It's more expensive per R than the somewhat comparable SonoClimat ECO4 if you're in Quebec or Ontario. Unlike Gutex, SonoClimat ECO4 can serve as the structural sheathing due to it's higher density, but it has a somewhat lower R/inch, and only comes in one thickness (but you can always layer it up.)
