Gutter Size Based on Facia Size

pico_project | Posted in General Questions on

Not exactly a green question, but I know there are many quality builders here.

We’re remodeling a mid-century house and just had a new roof and 1×8 facia put on.

We had a company come out to provide an estimate for seamless gutters. He said we wouldn’t need any more than 5″ based on our roof. However, I’m wondering if we should go with 6″ based solely on our facia size?

The concern is that the 5″ might look dinky or out of proportion. Attached is a photo for reference.

Can you request a 4' section of each that you can temporarily tape in place to see? I'm certain they wouldn't mind.
