Looking for ideas on how to change this design (see pic below) in order to:

1) Have a more simple roof- make the roof homogeneous, match the roof profile on the wing to that of the main/body (which is only slightly showing in the left side of the picture).

2) Increase roof area over porch.

How best to ensure thermal consistencies?  The building’s roof will be vented, a cold roof.

How to manage the increased span of the porch roof?  I am aiming for an insulated floating slab foundation in which case the porches need to be thermally separated from the main house slab.  I’d like to be able to reduce concrete use (already will be using a lot in the main slab), but thinking that I wouldn’t be able to do post and pier (and then wood decking).
