Install Ventilating Dehumidifier Now or Later?

mrcrisp | Posted in General Questions on

I have an old furnace (early 1980s) that I will replace with a heat pump once it dies. I am also looking to have a ventilating dehumidifier attached to my existing ductwork.

Will it create problems when it’s time to install the heat pump if I attach the dehumidifier now, or will it have no impact on the heat pump installation? All things being equal, I would prefer to have the dehumidifier installed sooner than later. Thank you!
