Interior wall insulation

Tenjack | Posted in General Questions on

I’m planning on insulating some interior walls to dampen sound. Portions of the walls have pex water lines running through them. Do I just avoid the stud bays that have the pex, or is there another solution to prevent possible condensation on the insulation?

The common insulation for interior wall sound control is Rockwool Safe n Sound. For an interior wall I don't think that condensation would be an issue with this product.
Have you had condensation issues on PEX piping? I've never seen it, but I don't live in the tropics either.

Thanks for the advice/reply, I just wasn’t quite sure, specifically in a shower wall with some metal parts like a valve
