Is all Linoleum biodegradeable?

corkydork | Posted in General Questions on

I am purchasing a large piece of linoleum second hand, and the store the seller got it from no longer sells it nor can give me any info. We aim to use only compostable/biodegradable products, and this piece of linoleum will be a place holder until we put in earthen floor like we have the rest of our house. The way this piece of linoleum looks makes me doubt that it’s compostable- it has a geometric pattern in green, blue, white, black. I will probably still go for it, but not sure if I will splurge for the expensive adhesive if it’s going in the landfill anyway. Thank you!
