MHK1 Wireless T-Stat capabilities?

user-5946022 | Posted in General Questions on

I have three Mitsu ducted mini splits.  I believe they are the “Mr Slim” type – they are each model number SEZ-KD**NA4 (G), with an outdoor unit MXZ-4C**NAHZ.

Each indoor unit is controlled with what I believe is an MHK1 Kit; there is  a Redlink wireless receiver wired to the indoor unit control board.  Each receiver wirelessly communicates with an MRCH1 thermostat.

Thanks to a previous post on here, all three MRCH1’s are communicating flawlessly with a Honeywell Redlink Gateway THM6000R7001.

1. Reading the user manual indicates the MHK1/MRCH1 setup has a dehumidify mode.  I can’t find this in my setup.  Does the dehumidify mode work with the indoor unit/outdoor unit setup I have, and I just need to change the setup on the MRCH1, or is dehumidify not an option on my equipment?
2. The Redlink Gateway came with a C7189R Remote Sensor.  I can’t get it to connect to the MRCH1’s.  Can anyone advise whether or not the C7189R is compatible with my system?  If not, if you have a need for one, make me an offer…
