MTBR for Heat Pump Systems?

I know this is a long shot but has anyone been able to get reliability data out of any heat pump manufacturer? Mean Time Between Repair? The nerd in me wants to make an informed decision on my purchase for my new home.

Any data you may find will have huge problems because the biggest factor is the installer and how well they did their job is uncontrollable.
Any data you might acquire would be historic in that it would tell you how well that manufacture made equipment in the past performance is no guarantee of future results.
Consumer Reports does have survey data by brand if you want to pay.
