Roof insulation discontinuity

user-7210391 | Posted in General Questions on

Dear all,
I am new on this forum. I am working on a project for a shopping mall located in Greece (Europe), according to ASHRAE it is Climate Zone 3.
For this project, we are aiming to have continuous insulation. However, in the flat roof, there is a series of drainage channels that interrupt the insulation. I wonder if it is indispensable to have continuous insulation below the drainage or if it is ok to interrupt the insulation in this kind of situation, considering it is a very small % of the overall roof area.
Furthermore, the weather is not extreme, mild I would say, I do not expect to have problems with comfort or condensation, do I?

Thanks
