    The amount of vapour is negligible. EPS has a perm of 5 per inch, but as you double the thickness the perms get halved.

    I don't think it matters at all which detail you use.

    Having recently encapsulated my basement I will say if you do it to the concrete, I would recommend a high quality tape design for concrete adhesion. Something like proclima extoseal. I tried a couple others, including zip, and they aren’t very reliable seals.

    I feel like there was something about long term sticking to eps in the backyard tape test article, but I don’t remember exactly which foam.
