Taking advantage of open walls

deaneasy | Posted in General Questions on

My ~100 yr old plumbing failed last Feb in my downstairs bathroom. I ended up taking the room to studs and had every pipe replaced because they are all accessible from that room (gotta love a small house!) Before I button it all up and install new drywall, etc are there any *smart* things I could do? I already rerouted some things that were on the outside like lines to my heat pump and some Cat6. I was thinking of installing moisture/humidity detectors in the walls that have pipes (but don’t want to overcomplicate things or worry about faulty sensors giving me false readings and stressing me out). Thanks!
