Hello – we are having a screened in 3 season porch installed under our new deck. The contractor is telling us that we should wait 6-10 months to stain or finish the wood so that wood dries and the stain or finish absorbs properly. Everything I’m reading says to finish it before installation. Is this true that we should wait?  We are in Minnesota and just screens seems like a bad idea to leave it unfinished for that long through the winter.  Thanks!
