Which dehumidifiers have the best energy factors?

davidsmartin | Posted in Energy Efficiency and Durability on

I understand that the energy factor of dehumidifiers measures the number of liters of water removed per kwh.  Unfortunately, web sites do not appear to disclose the energy factors of their products.  And clicking on the DOW web site shows the data as of June 2013.

Does anyone know where to find the energy factors of dehumidifiers currently on the market?  I need one for my basement in Vermont.

Individual manufacturers are listed in the sidebar.

It would be interesting to know why it isn't (evidently) possible to achieve high energy factors (say > 2) at a reasonable price.
