Community and Q&A

Why can’t I find any information on a product that was used as building paper manufactured by Monsanto in the 1980s.

We have been trying to resolve water intrusion since 1997. Our house was constructed in 1989. It has a stucco exterior. The building paper is a layered product manufactured by Monsanto. It appears to be the only layer beneath the stucco. What is it and what are the problems associated with it? We are considered removing the stucco and starting over. The windows have already been replaced twice, and there is currently a problem with the window flashing. We are concerned that there may be other issues with the wall construction. We have been told that this method is no longer used because of failure. Help?
