Why does the website keep logging me out?

This is by no means a building question, so I apologize if this is the wrong way to ask it.
That said, why does the website keep logging me out? I visit at least once a day and often have to log in multiple times per day.
This is either (1) a bug or (2) a server side setting that can (should) be tweaked.

Not sure if this is a widespread. As I type this, I have never been logged o
I get logged out occasionally. I think it does it when the IP address changes. I frequently post with my phone from the field between jobs, so when I’m out or when I’m home I have different IP addresses. There may be a timer too, I’m not sure which.
If you have issues losing stuff you’re typing before it posts, try copy/pasting everything — copy everything, then post. If the site logs you out before the post goes through, log back in, paste everything in again and then post. At least you don’t have to retype that way.

I also get logged out almost every time I come back to the site. 100% of the time on my phone, but even on my desktop it's close to every time. Pretty annoying, and it never happened before the site redesign.
