Wood Trim Around Windows-Waterproofing

FrankStone | Posted in General Questions on

I’m having to replace this wood trim and found this-The wood trim was installed over some 1-1/2″ fillers between stucco and window frame.  The building paper is intact under the nailing flanges.  I broke stucco back to reflash the fins,  and will add additional paper and lath.  But my question how to add a sill and re-trim around the windows.  I hate to change the “frame style” trim because it’s on the rest of the windows.  But, I may have to fix those too anyway! Also, I’ll need to patch the stucco up to some point around the window.  Open to any and all suggestions.  Thank You.

I haven't worked on stucco buildings but I don't understand why you can't use the same type of trim.
