CertainTeed's Form-A-Drain is a permanent foundation-footing forming system, a foundation drainage system, and a sub-slab perimeter radonColorless, odorless, short-lived radioactive gas that can seep into homes and result in lung cancer risk. The system consists of 12'-long extruded drainage channels with slots on the exterior vertical face to allow the entrance of groundwater. Water travels through the channels to outlet fittings connected to a standard drainage disposal area. The Form-A-Drain system can easily be configured to function as an active or passive radon reduction system by connecting an outlet to a vertical stack vent pipe. This product eliminates the need for conventional wood forms, which need to be removed and disposed of, and it comes with a 10-year warranty. Performance benefits and recycled content outweigh concerns about PVC content.
