Baffelled

Rickm510 | Posted in General Questions on

Martin,
I am currently sealing my attic and then adding blown in cellulose. There are fiberglass batts already in place. I have soffit venting and a ridge vent. Above the soffits are small pieces of batt insulation which I cannot remove. If I place the baffles just above the batts, will air still permeate the fiberglass and flow to the ridge vent?
We live near Indy in climate zone 5.
Thanks for all you do!
Rick

    Rick,

The small amount of air able to make it's way through the fibreglass will not provide adequate ventilation.
