Casement windows used as doors?

Has anyone used a large casement window as a door?  I thought that I’d seen mention of this in a youtube video of a passive house but I can’t locate the video.

    Walter,
    You're thinking of the use of large European tilt-and-turn windows, not casement windows. I discuss that option in my article, "All About Doors."

    Passive House window suppliers call those "balcony doors." They cost less than regular doors, but you can't lock them from the outside.
