Dense pack cellulose cost

dfvellone | Posted in General Questions on

I understand that region can be a significant factor in determining the costs of materials and especially labor of construction, but is there a range of reference for dense pack cellulose installation behind netting (which I understand will drive up labor expense?)
I also understand that there’s a range of quality of cellulose itself and expect that the all-borate, over-run or “new” material will be at the upper end of the range.
Thanks, Daniel

    Hi Daniel,

Seems to vary by location. I would email/call local installers- I suspect they would be happy to give you a price. The netting goes up quickly with pneumatic staplers. Unless there is scaffolding, etc involved, I doubt this is a considerable cost component.

I have had several recent quotes. They were $1900., $4200., $5400., and just over $7000., so the numbers are all over the place and I personally have no reference for a going rate. These quotes certainly don't help.

One thing several installers agreed on was that getting the netting installed correctly was a good bit of the labor.
