Foundation – Dimple Mat

peter_leafs | Posted in General Questions on

Hello everyone;

So, I am now planning to apply a dimple mat on the outside of my foundation walls.

However, I have come across two types of dimple mats for this job. 1) the simple dimple mat; 2) the dimple mat with a geotextile sheet attached.

My question is about the application. I know that with simple dimple mats, the pimples are applied against the concrete wall and the dimples facing the soil. How about the dimple mat with the geotextile? Should the geotextile face the concrete or the soil?

Thank you in advance,

Kind Regards,
Leafs

    Peter, the geotextile faces the soil, to prevent fine particles from clogging the system.
