Trial Run With Fujitsu Ducted Minisplit

raul4817 | Posted in General Questions on

This is my first heating season with my new Fujitsu ducted.

I flipped it on last night to just to bring the temp up a few and make sure there is no issues before the cold really sets in.

On initial startup it runs and puts out heat. Went to bed last night and woke up to the air handler running and the outdoor unit off.  Basically it is just recirculating the air.

Is this normal?

I’m going to monitor it tonight. But seems wrong to me but again first time running it for heat.

Thanks
Raul

I believe the default behavior is to run the run continuously in heating mode. The outdoor unit will shut off if the heating load is satisfied.
I'm assuming it maintained the temperature at setpoint?

      Thanks Josh,

You are correct. I just spoke with fujitsu. The fan does in fact run continuously but it is suppose to ramp down. Mine was no ramping down. Setting 43 at the wired remote was set @01. Rep said this is a commercial setting that he thought wasn't available on these units. We set it back to 00 and it is now running the blower motor variably. Over the summer it would the fan would either kick on or off and my lack of fujitsu knowledge had me thinking this was normal behavior and it may.
