I am confused on how a range hood exhaust works in a tight envelope with a balanced HRV system .Where can the air be pulled from that is being exhausted?…regards,Bob

    Bob,
Range hoods with small fans (those that move only 150 or 200 cfm) get their makeup air from cracks in the thermal envelope. Range hoods with large fans (400 cfm and up) need dedicated makeup air ducts or powered makeup air units.
