Insulate around gas insert

After tearing out for other reasons, what should I do to insulate around this gas fireplace?  I feel like the concrete blocks should get something, or should I insulate the framing around it.  Not sure how much heat comes off ther . I would like to get a sealed one, but the 6k or so seems too much right no .
