Membrain availability

gojoe6869 | Posted in General Questions on

Hello all,
I asked a question a week ago about rockwool with spray foam. I am having condensation issues. The overwhelming response was to get drywall up and if I wanted to be absolutely sure to not have problems, use CertainTeed Membrain or other vapor retarder. So far everywhere I’ve tried is out of stock. Quite a few supply companies say they used to be able to get it but can’t now.
Is it still being made? If so do any of you have a “hook up” for it? We need 2 of the 10′ x 100′ rolls.
If we can’t find it, we may have to go with Intello. It seems like it will work just as well but only comes in 164′ lengths which will leave a lot of waste.
Thank you

I don't know about Membrain availability but you can order short rolls of Intello: https://foursevenfive.com/intello-plus/. Their 5' x 66' roll is $156, about $0.50 per sq.ft.. Or you can order a full-length roll of Siga Majrex for a similar cost per sq.ft.: https://sigatapes.com/product/siga-majrex/. There are other product by Rothoblaas, Dorken and others, but Intello, Majrex and Membrain are usually the easiest to get.
