Mitsubishi dealer / installer status

woobagoobaa | Posted in Green Products and Materials on

GBA-ers.  I have several HVAC installation quotes, making final decision.  One of the front runners came well recommended with an attractive quote on a Mitsubishi ducted system.  I was able to tour a local install of same system.  Question, this installer is not listed by Mitsubishi as a local dealer.  Is this an issue?  Anyone able to shed light on why this might be so?  Thanks

It may be that the installer didn't take the factory training offered by Mitsubishi, or perhaps there's a listing fee. It's not rocket science, competent refrigeration techs who read manuals can still do a good job of it without Mitsubishi sponsored training, though sometimes the latter helps.

There is usually a warranty advantage to using a "Diamond" installer, where the installers have been trained and certified though Mitsubishi.

Thanks Dana. I was finally able to get through to Mitsubishi. Installs by Diamond dealers get 12 year warranty versus 10. Only Diamonds are listed on the website.
