Sealant/ Primer Question

Renovations102 | Posted in General Questions on

Hello all,

I am in the process of air-sealing my garage.

Foundation to sill plate (concrete to 15-year old pressure treated)

Sill plate to bottom plate (pressure treated to pressure treated)

Interior perimeter of widows & door over foam backer rod. (wood to wood)

I am buying NP1 from Metro Sealant

I read Matt Risinger’s comment to always use primer for tape, do you think a primer is needed in any of these locations for a poly caulking? If so, what primers are recommended?

I did read that on the concrete location, just wire brush it, vacuum, and you are good to go, others say nothing needed, just a swept surface…

Thank you

Disregard, both Masterseal & Metro sealants said I absolutely do not need a primer at those locations as long as it's all clean...
