Tilt & Turn window treatment.

arnoldk | Posted in General Questions on

Hi,

I wanted to know what type of window treatment people have used with their tilt & turn windows?
I am looking at some solutions to block the sunlight in the bedrooms. I couldn’t find much online except for curtains which we are hoping to avoid due to dust allergies.

Thanks,
Arnold

I like shades that mount to the sash: https://www.hunterdouglas.com/operating-systems/manual/trackglide. Just be aware that if you have thick walls, you may need to oversize the window openings if you want the windows to swing in at least 90°.

Those are interesting Michael. Do you know if they cause any issue with the window seal or gaskets?

      Thanks,
      Arnold

They shouldn't; they screw into the sash frame, which is usually either solid wood or multi-chamber uPVC.
