Vented Attic Insulation

Athrakor | Posted in General Questions on

I live in a semi-attached home in Climate Zone 5. My attic is vented by a single gable vent.

The energy provider is running a foam spray reimbursement program which covers foam spraying throughout the house, but specifically open-cell under the roof decking. there are no mechanicals in the attic and the attic floor is unfinished.

What is the best way to take advantage of the program and mitigate any of the roof decking rot issues outlined here? https://www.greenbuildingadvisor.com/article/open-cell-spray-foam-and-damp-roof-sheathing
