Which vapor barrier/retarder for a bathroom?

Hello
I’m having a bathroom renovated in climate zone 5.  One of the walls is shared with an unheated/uninsulated garage.

The wall assembly of that wall will be Sheetrock, mineral wool and then Sheetrock on the garage side.  

Is a vapor barrier or retarder needed?  Is just poly ok and a what thickness?
