Override Fujitsu remote control

Grapefarm | Posted in General Questions on

We installed a mini split heat pump (Fujitsu 12RL2 115V) unit in our wine cave. We need to set a temperature of constant 60 degrees.  Our remote is a boy allowing 64…. and that’s getting us at 67.  Is there a way to override the remote to get a lower setting?

Maybe, but if your model is like mine (9RLS3), there's another option. You should be able ro program an offset into the unit, +/-7degF. That would get you down to 60. Take a look in your installation manual.

    Hi,

being that you are not achieving the temp desired (64) I would assume the unit is modulating down due to the temp split (return temp being too close to the supply temp).
This can be for a number of reasons, some times a lack of air circulation. If the unit is breathing in a lot of it's own supply air due to being blocked by a shelf or being installed in a corner, this can be the issue.
Other issues can be under charged, not installed properly (no vacuum), etc.

We have installed the 115v 9rL2 units for clients and have no issue getting them down below 65f.

Carrier also sells a 115v option that we spec and install often.
